Lynn Loyd passed from this life to be with his Lord on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 9:42 p.m. at Abilene Regional Medical Center at the age of 65 years.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. John Stanislaw officiating.  Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home.

A lifelong resident of Gouldbusk, Lynn was born in Coleman, Texas to William Winfred and Norma Grace Hopper Loyd on August 6, 1955. He was a graduate of Mozelle High School and continued his education at Cisco Junior College receiving his mechanics certification. On October 9, 1976 Lynn married Gail Rebecca Erwin in Coleman and they have celebrated forty three years of marriage.

Lynn loved raising pigs, chickens and guineas, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a very kind and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His lifetime work was spent in oilfield and trucking.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Loyd of Gouldbusk, Texas; two sons, William and wife Brooke Loyd of Bangs, Texas and Erwin Loyd of Gouldbusk, Texas; three brothers – Glen & wife Gloria Loyd of Mozelle, Texas, Joey Loyd of Mozelle, Texas, and Danny & wife Dalisa Loyd of Brownwood, Texas; five grandchildren – Charity, Austin, Anebella, Frances, John Erwin; uncle & aunt Loyd and Edwina Hopper of Valera, Texas; and several nieces & nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother G.W. Loyd in 2017

Pallbearers will be Greg Loyd, Aaron Loyd, Coyd Loyd, Kolton Titsworth, Chris Loyd.
