Jane Welch, 83, of Comanche, passed away Friday July 31, 2020, in Brownwood at Brownwood Nursing and Rehab. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heartland Funeral and Cremations of Comanche.

A memorial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 6, 2020 in the Pavilion of Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche with Bro. Steven Schulte officiating. Condolences to the family can be left online at www.heartland.funeral.net or come by the funeral home to sign the register.

Jane Janette Bartlett was born March 22, 1937, in Gorman, TX, to Blake R. and Cleo (McNutt) Bartlett. She was the oldest of three children. Jane attended and graduated from Comanche High School in 1956. On June 2, 1957, Jane married Carl Leon Welch. She was employed for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Western Hills in Comanche and was a farmer. Jane loved volunteering at Comanche CARES and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Jane is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl Leon Welch, Sr; sons, Carl Leon Welch, Jr. of Odessa, Alvin Welch and wife Sherri of Hamilton, Rodney Welch and wife Rhonda of Granbury; daughter, Trease Burke and husband Scotty of Brownwood; 6 grandchildren, Tyler Welch, Cody Welch, Katelyn Welch, Carl John Welch, Cameron Burke, and Savannah Welch; great grandson, Lincoln Welch; sister, Mary Spruill and husband John Mark; sisters-in-law, Fonda Thompson and husband Roy, Barbara Holland and husband Willie Joe; brother-in-law, Connie Welch and wife Janie. She was preceded in death by parents Blake and Cleo Bartlett, brother, Donald Bartlett, sister-in-law Louann Bartlett, nephews Cliff and Blake Bartlett, brothers-in-law Larry Welch, F L Welch, and Mac Welch, sister-in-law Sue Matthews, and nephew Mac Welch.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations in honor of Jane Welch be made to Hope From the Heart, Brown County, 3009 Asbury, Brownwood, TX 76801 or Comanche County Cares 101 W Mill Ave, Comanche, TX 76442
