Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Aug. 3

On Sunday, July 19, Deputy Hammonds took a report of a dog bite, which happened at CR 588. A report was made.

On Thursday, July 30 at about 10:55 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley, spoke with an individual by phone. This was in regards to a theft. The individual stated she and her mother went to the Yellow Rose Game Room located at Hwy. N 279 in Brownwood the night before at about 6:40 p.m. The individual stated while there her red bag was taken from a chair on the front porch area.

On Friday, July 31, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher, responded to Trey Lane. This was to a report of dogs attacking sheep. Several sheep had been injured, the suspect dogs were identified and a report was made.

On Friday, July 31 at approximately 8:21 p.m., while on uniformed patrol in a marked Brown County Sheriff’s Office patrol unit, Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to FM 586 S. This was regarding a report of a prior theft that occurred.

On Saturday, Aug. 1, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to Emerald Dr. This was for a report of a stolen firearm. Information was gathered and a report was made.

On the night of Saturday, Aug. 1, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher, responded to CR 196. This was to a report of a damaged fence from a crash. No suspect vehicle was found and a report was made.

On Saturday, Aug. 1 at approximately 9:54 p.m. while on uniformed patrol in a marked Brown County Sheriff’s Office patrol unit, Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC). This was regarding a reported dog bite, which occurred.

On Sunday, Aug. 2, Deputy Andre Smoot went to a call of theft. He made contact with the complainant and gathered pertinent information to complete a report for Credit Debit Card Abuse of Elderly.

On Sunday, Aug. 2, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher responded to a report of multiple dead cows in a field on FM 1176. Cause of death was undetermined. Ihe notified the owner and a report was made.
