Funeral services for Harold Reno, age 90, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 13, 2020 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bobby Machen officiating. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 AM prior to the service.
Mr. Reno passed from this life on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at his home.
Iva Harold “Pa” Reno was born on February 28, 1930 in Post to Gertrude (Casey) Reno and Ivy Arthur Reno. He graduated from Post High School in 1949. Harold married Jeneice Fluitt on May 21, 1949 in Post. They recently celebrated their 71st anniversary. Harold went on to work in management for Frito Lay for a number of years, and retired from Methodist Hospital (now Covenant Medical Center) in Lubbock. Jeneice and Harold made Brownwood their home in 2001.
Harold is survived by his wife, Jeneice, of Brownwood; two sons, Joe Reno and wife Kay of May and Roger Reno and wife Darla of Runaway Bay; a grandson, Cody Reno and wife Monica of Fort Worth; five granddaughters, Devron and husband Jody Roberts of Bangs, Christi and husband Steve Tuttle of Whitehouse, Tennessee, Brandi and husband Jerry Harris of Rising Star, Shay and husband Jeff Hughes of Decatur and Lacy Gillen of Decatur; two step-grandsons, Jimmy O’Mara of Kuwait and Bobby Blankenship of May; 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and an aunt Bonnie Williams of Austin.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Amy Bennett.
