Brownwood News – The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for its 2020-2021 Leadership Brownwood class.  Tuition is $495 per person and includes transportation to tour sites, meals for each session, course materials and class shirts.  Deadline for application is Monday, August 24.  Class size is limited to 20 people.

Spanning eight months from September through April, Leadership Brownwood is designed to increase individual and community leadership skills. The beginning retreat, the first Wednesday in September, focuses on individual leadership styles and techniques. Starting in October and ending in April, the class then spends one day per month examining specific aspects of the community such as education, government, local business and economic development, health and human services, the criminal justice system, and tourism.
