Janice Louise (Harrington) Lea, 77 of Blanket, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in the Zephyr Cemetery.

A visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home.

Janice was born January 6, 1943 in Teague, Texas to Alton and Opal Harrington.  She attended high school in Santa Anna and soon after married Horace Lea in old Mexico.  Horace and Janice started a life together that blessed them with three daughters.  Janice worked as a homemaker taking care of Horace and her three girls.  She was a game player.  Her favorites were bingo and dominoes.  Janice loved watching John Wayne movies and would watch them over and over.  She said there was always something new to see.  Janice was a character and enjoyed laughing, smiling and visiting with friends.

Janice is survived by her twin daughters, Kathy Spivey and husband Michael of Blanket and Karen Crawford and husband Bobby of Lake Brownwood; two step children, Daniece Jones of Ruidoso, NM and Rick Ray of Bangkok, Thailand; sister, Linda Faris and husband David of Comanche.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Horace Lea; daughter, Cynthia Lea; her parents; & in-laws, C.H. and Esther Lea.
