Brownwood News – Brownwood High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Sammy Burnett is recovering well from surgery performed Monday in Abilene.  Coach Burnett had emergency surgery in November, and this was a follow-up procedure to that surgery.  This most recent surgery was performed robotically, which simplifies the procedure and shortens the recovery time.  The surgery went well, and Burnett is currently recovering in the hospital in Abilene.  He is expected to be home soon, and will be fully recovered when football practices begin in August.
