Paul G. Hill was born in January 1932 in Pecan Gap, Texas.  He married the love of his life, Reba Collings, on November 18, 1951.  He recently said, “Without her, the world ceases to exist.”  Paul was a professional, earning his Certified Public Accountant credentials in 1966.

He was a golden gloves boxer, honorably served in the Navy, and later worked as a public accountant and then as an auditor for the federal government.  He worked in Amarillo, TX, Albuquerque, NM, Trinidad, CO, Raton, NM and Denver, CO.  He retired to Lake Brownwood, Texas, were he resided until his death.

Paul was an avid fisherman, singer and domino player. His hobbies including gardening, travelling the US in his RV, and international travel to Canada, Mexico, Central America, Europe, Australia, and Africa.  Paul was known for his sweet smile and sweet tooth, and could always be counted on for a trip for ice cream.  He was fascinated by space, the outdoors, and both wild and domesticated animals.  After retirement, he enjoyed living and boating at the lake, socializing, working with his hands, singing at local nursing homes and karaoke nights, and raising a few donkeys, longhorns, and dogs.

When he lived in Colorado, Paul was an enthusiastic gold-panner, and was often approached by tourists, wanting a photo of an authentic prospector.

Paul was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church, and prior to that, a member of the Lake Brownwood Methodist Church.

Paul leaves behind his wife, Reba; four children, Rhonda Ross, Paul Hill, Scott Hill and Penny Ouellette; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. His parents and his sister, Polly Frost, proceeded him in death.

Above all, he was a family man, and will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
