Brownwood News – On June 1, 2020 the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department announced 27 negatives, 1 recovered and 1 death.

The 27 negative results were from varied community sources. The death was a female in her 60’s who was transferred from outside of Brown County into a nursing home in Brown County while positive for COVID-19. She passed away a few days after arriving in Brown County.

Five nursing home facilities in Brown County were tested by the National Guard on May 29 and 30. Testing included all employees and residents of the facilities. Those results will be released when received.

The total COVID-19 cases in Brown County are 59.
