Brownwood News – TexasBank recently announced that $50,000 has been donated to ten non-profit organizations in Brown, Comanche, Eastland and Erath Counties through their ownership and the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation.

The gifts were given to the following organizations:

Brown County: Good Samaritan Ministries, Boys and Girls Club and Salvation Army

Comanche County: Salvation Army, Comanche County Agency on Aging

Eastland County: Meals on Wheels, Eastland County Helping Others (ECHO)

Erath County: Meals on Wheels, The Pantry and More, HOPE Inc.

“Community banks are engrained in the fabric of the communities that we serve,” said Greg Dodds, President and CEO of TexasBank.  We are not just your bankers, we are your friends, your neighbors and your family.  It is during times of crisis like this that it is imperative that we work together and contribute whatever we can to lend a helping hand.  We are appreciative to our ownership and the Foundation for recognizing the needs of those most vulnerable in our communities and offering additional monetary assistance.  Together, we are TexasStrong!”

In addition to the community gifts, TexasBank also released the success of the Paycheck Protection Program or CARES Act Loans. As of this date, TexasBank has generated over 400 PPP forgivable loans totaling over $37,000,000 in assistance for small businesses.  Most importantly, these loans have resulted in the preservation of over 5,000 jobs in our communities.

A video celebrating the community gifts and PPP program can be viewed on TexasBank’s Facebook Page or YouTube channel.

TexasBank is a community bank committed to serving all customers in Brown, Comanche, Eastland, and Erath counties, as well as all neighboring counties.
