Brownwood News –  The Early ISD Board of Trustees acted Monday night to name Dr. Dewayne Wilkins as Lone Finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools pending the mandatory 21 day waiting period.  Dr. Wilkins currently serves as Superintendent of the Gordon ISD.

According to his Linkedin page, Dr. Wilkins has served in Gordon since January 2019. Prior to that he was a Principal in Andrews Independent School District for four years. He was also a teacher and coach in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD for two years. He obtained his Doctor of Education from Texas Tech University and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Lamar University.
