Michael Kevin Phillips, 51 (Brownwood)

Michael Kevin Phillips, 51, of Brownwood passed away May 1, 2020.

The family is planning a Memorial Service at a later date.

Kevin was born December 24, 1968 in Brownfield to Paul & Sherry Phillips.  He graduated from Early High School and joined the US Navy where he served his country for eight years.  Kevin had a daughter, Sherry Ann, who filled his life with happiness and his favorite thing, his grandson, Zander.  Kevin played summer league baseball in this area and basketball in high school, he always had a love for sports.  Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with friends.  He spent the last seventeen years with his partner in life, Lisa James.  Kevin worked for Frank’s Electric in Granbury.  Kevin considered his job a true gift.  He got to spend his work time with his best friend from high school travelling all over.  When he was home, he spent a lot of time with his family and friends.  Kevin’s life was full and he will be truly missed by many.

Kevin is survived by his partner in life, Lisa James of Brownwood; daughter, Sherry Ann Phillips of Brownwood; grandson, Zander Miller of Abilene; parents, Paul & Sherry Phillips of Early; sister, Kristi and husband Wade Walker of Early; his BFF, Damon Frank of Granbury; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. C.S. Phillips and Mr. & Mrs. TA Hulse; uncles, Bob Phillips, Charles Phillips, Jack Phillips and Terry Hulse; cousin, Shane Tuggle.
