Rick Morris, age 58, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020, at home surrounded by his family.

Rick’s wishes were to be cremated; the family will have a private memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Rick was born to Norman and Alice (Cowen) Morris on July 2, 1961, in Brawley, CA. He married Rosie Griffin on July 31, 1981 in Brownwood. Rick worked alongside his dad at his shop, Norms Diesel Service. He was a diesel mechanic around Brownwood for many years. He loved the outdoors.

Rick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rosie Morris of Brownwood; daughter, Danielle Mitchell and husband Wes of Brownwood; son, Ricky Morris Jr. and wife Cindy of Brownwood; grandsons, Trett Mitchell, Chance Morris, and Wesley Mitchell; granddaughters, Samantha and Riley Morris; great-granddaughter, Paisleigh Mitchell; mother, Alice Morris of Brownwood; brother, Ron Morris and wife Diane of Santa Anna; and sister, Renee Morris of Brownwood. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Morris.
