Brownwood News -Brownwood Police responded to the following calls for service on Thursday, April 2nd.

On 04/02/2020 Brownwood officers took a phone call in reference to theft that occurred on Elizabeth St. A report has been generated.
On April 2, 2020, at 1226 hours, a Brownwood Officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to a female that had been detained for shoplifting. The female was issued a citation for Theft of Property <$100.00.
On Thursday, April 2, 2020, the Brownwood Police Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 700 block of 9th Street. During the traffic stop a small quantity of methamphetamine and a small quantity of dangerous drugs were recovered from one of the occupants in the vehicle. At the conclusion of the traffic stop investigation, a man was arrested and charged with the possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug.
On 4-2-20 Officers responded to the 1000 block of 12th St. in reference to a domestic disturbance. An investigation was started and the female in the disturbance was determined to be the primary aggressor. The female was taken into custody for aggravated robbery.
