Brownwood News – Brown County District Clerk, Cheryl Jones, has announced in light of the development of the COVID-19 situation, she is encouraging the public to contact her office by phone at 325/646-5514 for any needs they may have from her office.

Most filings are conducted through e-filing eliminating personal contact.  “We can email or mail documents needed to avoid unnecessary contact.”  The Brown County District Clerk’s office is open and working, however “we are trying to minimize personal contact with the public to protect the public as well as my staff” Jones stated.   “We are following the CDC guidelines of no more than 10 in my office at a time.”

The jury that was scheduled for March 30, 2020 has been cancelled so please be aware not to show up.  

The Brown County District Clerk’s office encourages the public to call if they have any questions and encourages the public to stay safe and healthy.
