Bangs City Council to Meet Thursday Morning – Meeting Available by Phone or Video Conference

Brownwood News – The Bangs City Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, March 26 at 11:00 am.  The meeting will be available for the public to access by telephone or video conference in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings.

The public will be permitted to offer public comments telephonically as provided by the agenda during the meeting.  The meeting agenda is below.

  5. CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS – The council welcomes any public comments at this point on items not specifically on the agenda. Speakers are limited to 3 minutes. The council cannot respond to matters not listed on the agenda.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR DISCUSSION AND/OR ACTIONS:

6. COVID-19 Update

7. Consider modification, extension or withdrawal of declaration of local state of disaster due to public health emergency made effective as of March 19, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.

8. Consider an emergency ordinance to extend the disaster declaration regarding the COVID-19 virus.

9. Pursuant to Governor’s Proclamation, consider moving May 2, 2020 General Election to elect 3 Council Members to next uniform election date, November 3, 2020.

10. ADJOURNMENT
