Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Alcala; her parents, Miguel and Manuela Benavides; 2 brothers, Eduardo Benavides and Jesse Benavides; and a sister, Lupe Benavides.

She is survived by her son, Albert Alcala Jr of San Antonio; daughter, Amanda Barrera and husband Fidel of Brownwood; grandchildren, Veronica Isquirdeo and husband Wesley of Brownwood, and Efrain Barrera of San Angelo; great-grandchildren, MarcAnthony, Wesley, and Lilly Isquirdeo; 2 sisters, Carmen Ornelas of San Antonio and Cathy Felan of Bertram; and 1 brother, Ishmael Benavides of San Antonio. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and friend Leo Lopez.
