Brownwood News – The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club held it’s annual Sweetheart & Awards banquet February 20th at the Brownwood Country Club.

Club President Don Holland served as Master of Ceremonies. 

Retired Brownwood Mayor Bert Massey delivered, as always, a very entertaining program. 

Special guests were Lt. Governor Carl Boivin and his wife Terri.

PVKC member Bill Pursch presented Ralph Watts with the Layperson of the Year Award.

PVKC member Ricky Marks presented Doug House with the Kiwanian of the Year award.

PVKC member and Key Club Sponsor Ms. Kate Black presented Miss Jenna Wiggins with the Sophomore of the Year Scholarship.

Several members were awarded perfect attendance awards for their participation in club meetings and other club functions.

Everyone enjoyed an evening of fun, food, and fellowship.
