Damon Wayne Wells, age 45, of Brownwood passed away Friday, February 21, 2020, at home.

A Celebration of Life for Damon will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Bela officiating; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Damon was born on October 7, 1974, to William Lewis Wells and Sammie (Polk) Wells in Hobbs, New Mexico. He graduated from Lovington High School Class of ’93. After high school, he went to South Plains College because of his love and interest in music, sound, and electronics. Damon became disabled at a young age. While living in Brownwood Nursing and Rehab for a few years, he made the best of it and was always looking for ways to help around the facility; he helped with the newsletters. Most all of his caregivers became close friends with him. Damon loved people; he was always willing to help someone in need.

Damon is survived by his mother, Sammie Witcher and husband Marvin of Midland; 2 sisters, Heather Gorniak and husband Justin of Janesville, WI and Kala Wells of Lubbock ; 2 nephews, Dustin Fratus of Scottsboro, AL and Jeremy Fratus of Midland; 1 niece, Tessa Case of Janesville, WI; a dear aunt, Sandi Wells of Snyder; and 2 cousins. He is also survived by his countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Wells; his grandparents; and an uncle, Rusty Wells.

Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
