City of Early Council Meeting Tuesday – Agenda

Brownwood News – The City of Early City Council will be in session at 6:00 pm Tuesday, February 11.  The agenda is below.

A. Call to order, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance
B. Consideration of the minutes for regular meeting held on January 14, 2020 and special called meeting held on January 24, 2020.
C. Citizen’s comments.

D. Matters of New Business
1. Consider approving Resolution 2020-R02, ordering an election to be held May 2, 2020 to elect three (3) Council members and providing details relating to the holding of such election. By: Mayor Mangrum
2. Consider approving Ordinance, 2020-02, to annex and designate the permanent zoning of approximately 5090 feet of East River Oaks Road, to include the Right-of-Way, beginning at the intersection of HWY 183 South (Garmon Rd) and East River Oaks Rd. and continuing northeast through the intersection of Sudderth Dr.; continuing northeast ending at the existing Early City limits at the transition from East River Oaks Rd. to Hanson Lane. 3. Consider approving Ordinance 2020-03, to annex and designate the permanent zoning of approximately 0.3 acres of YRMA C. Jones Subdivision, Block A. By: Larry McConn
4. Consider approving Ordinance 2020-04, approving a zoning change from R-1 Residential District to C-1 Commercial District for approximately 0.38 acres of YRMA C. Jones Subdivision, Block A. By: Larry McConn
5. Consider approving a variance to the setback requirements to install an accessory building at 101 Bonnie Drive. By: Larry McConn
6. Consider continuation of the variance granted to City Code Section 8-86, to place a firework stand to sell fireworks at 710 Garmon Drive By: Larry McConn
7. Consider approval to solicit Request for Proposal for purchase of road construction materials, RFP2020-01. By: Larry McConn
8. Consider approval to solicit Request for Proposal for purchase of road construction materials (oil), RFP2020-02. By: Larry McConn
9. Consider approval to solicit Request for Proposal for purchase of water and sewer construction and repair materials, RFP2020-03. By: Larry McConn
10. Consideration of street closure for Early Chamber of Commerce parade. By: Larry McConn
11. Consideration to approve a Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Grant application for Early Chamber of Commerce, Resolution 2020-CVR01. By: Denise Hudson
12. Consideration to approve a Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Grant application for Southwest Amputee Golf, Resolution 2020-CVR02. By: Denise Hudson
13. Consider approval of Resolution 2020-R03, authorizing continued participation with the Steering Committee of cities served by Atmos Energy Corporation, and authorizing payment to fund regulatory and related activities related to Atmos Energy Corporation. By: Tony Aaron
14. Progress report regarding concept design and construction estimate for upgrade or new ballpark facility. By: Tony Aaron
