Brownwood News –  The Early Police and Fire Department, along with Lifeguard, DPS and BCSO responded to a major accident Monday morning at approximately 9 am where an 18-wheeler over turned at the intersection of Early Blvd. and Garmon (Zephyr Hwy).

According to the Early Police Department, the truck was hauling materials from Houston and traveling to Superior cable in Brownwood. The driver was making a left turn onto Early Blvd. from Garmon Drive when the truck overturns. The driver was not hurt in the accident but traffic was re-routed through and around the intersection for approximately 2 and half hours while wrecker crews got the truck upright and cleared the roadway. TxDot crews also assisted with traffic. The driver was issued a citation for fail to control speed at the scene.
