Brownwood News – The San Angelo National Weather Service has issued a Freezing Fog Advisory for Brown and surrounding counties until 9:00 am this Friday morning.

* WHAT…Visibility of a quarter mile or less in freezing fog.

* WHERE…Concho Valley and Heartland counties (Brownwood/Early), in addition to Taylor County, Callahan County, Jones County, Shackelford County, Crockett County, Schleicher County and Menard County.

* WHEN…Until 9 AM CST this morning.

* IMPACTS…Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and potential very light ice on bridges.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Freezing Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less and very light ice could develop on area roadways. If driving… slow down, use your low beams, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Be alert for frost on bridge decks causing slippery roads.
