Diana Chamberlain was born August 30, 1961 in Kirbyville, Texas to Charles “Red” & Sarah Chamberlain.  She moved around with her father in the military and attended a few schools making friends all over the United States.  Diana graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana in Social Services.  She worked as a resource director in government which required her to find things for people.  This was a quality that she continued whether she was at work or not.  Diana collected items from people and stored them until she heard of someone that needed something she had.  She was a blessing to so many by following her Christian values and giving that helping hand to friends and people who would soon be her friend.  Diana married Kenneth Matherne in June of 1997 and they began a life together that would comingle their families into one.  She also adopted several beloved individuals into her family, she loved them as family and they loved and adored her as well.  Diana had a never ending amount of energy and over flowing heart full of love.

Diana is survived by her husband, Kenneth Matherne of Rising Star; Parents, Charles &Sarah Chamberlain of Rising Star; son, Christopher Theriot of Louisiana; daughters, Debi Theriot of Louisiana; Jessica and husband Jeremiah White of Phalba, Texas; beloved friends and adopted family members, Elizabeth (Buffy) Lee, Tracey Rutledge, Ann Adkins and Tricia Pate, all of Rising Star; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
