Funeral services for Delilah Partida Campos, age 38, of Bangs, will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Bangs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.

Heaven was rejoicing on Friday night as Heaven gained an angel, as Delilah “Lila” Campos succumbed to her illness.  She fought a good and hard battle, but now she is walking streets of gold into the Kingdom with Jesus by her side.  Her faith never wavered, standing tall like the mustard tree.

Delilah Partida was born on May 26, 1981 in Fredericksburg to Cipriano and Irma (Fuentes) Martinez.  Lila was a graduate of Bangs High School and attended CTCC.  She worked for the Texas Youth Commission for several years.  She married Victor Campos in 2008.  Together they started a family of two boys, Azariah and Isaiah Campos.

Delilah is survived by her loving husband, Victor Campos of Bangs; two sons, Azariah and Isiah Campos; her mother, Irma Martinez and husband Lupe of Bangs; her father, Cipriano Partida, Jr.; her brother, Elias Partida and wife Adriana of Abilene and several uncles, Joel Fuentes and wife Ophelia, Rogelio Fuentes, Ricardo Fuentes and wife Sylvia, Israel Fuentes, Juan Fuentes and wife Esther.

When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile

Forget unkind words I have spoken
Remember some good I have done
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I’ve had loads of fun

Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day

Then forget to grieve for my going
I would not have you sad for a day
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay

And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
