Wayne Jacobson, 89 (Brownwood)

Wayne Jacobson, age 89, of Brownwood went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, January 17th at Heartland Funeral Home.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be 2:00 PM Saturday January 18, 2020 at Rochelle Cemetery in Rochelle, Texas.

Wayne was born on Saturday, October 18, 1930 to Albin and Ora Jacobson in Rochelle, Texas.  Wayne married Ann Miller on March 1, 1968 where their union was blessed with five children.  He attended Missouri State College for 3 years, and was in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1953, where he earned a Good Conduct Medal.   Wayne owned three service stations, worked for Goodyear from 1970-1972, then from 1972 to 1992 he worked for 3M until he retired.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and he enjoyed fishing.  But most of all he loved his family and spending time with Ann, their children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Ann Jacobson of Brownwood; 2 sons, Raymond and wife Kerri Jacobson, Craig and wife Shanna Jacobson; daughters, Terrie and husband Jim Bitter, Deborah and husband Jerry Shepherd and Kimberly and husband Richard Marquis; grandchildren, Bryan Bell, Brandon Bell, Derek Cochran, Chad Cochran, Justin Jacobson, Mitchell Jacobson, Kaitlyn Levett, Amber Nicholas, Jessica Moore, Meagan Person, Courtney Jacobson, Blanca Marquis, Richard Marquis Jr., Nate Marquis, Jerry Lee Shepherd and Jason Shepherd; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Alvin Jacobson, Dean Jacobson, Vernon Jacobson; sisters, Betty Collins and Willie Mae Turner.
