William H. “Bill” Wilson, 93 (Temple, formerly Brownwood)

A graveside funeral service, with military honors, for Bill Wilson, age 93, of Temple, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2020 in Eastlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Heartland Funeral Home.

Bill passed from this life on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in Temple.

Bill was born on May 11, 1926 in Gorman to Earl and Ruby Wilson.  He was a veteran of World War II.  Following the war, Bill worked for Merchants Motor Lines as a truck driver for 37 years, where he was awarded numerous safety awards for driving over 3 million miles without an accident.

In April of 1952, Bill married Juanita Allison and began a life together that blessed them with two children.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jack Wilson, a sister, Violet Ingram, and a son Thomas Wilson.

Bill is survived by his son, Mike Wilson and wife Teresa of Harker Heights; grandson, T.J. Wilson and wife Jessica of Sweetwater; a granddaughter, Kristen Bryant and husband Clay of Austin, grandson, Chris Sonberg and wife Kendra of Austin and four great-grandchildren.
