Larry Mack Bond, 68, of Rising Star passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019.  Graveside Service will be Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 10:00 am at Elm Cemetery, Rising Star, Texas.

Larry was born December 3rd, 1951 in Abilene to L.D. and Louise Bond.  He graduated Rising Star high school and attended Cisco College.  Larry began a life and family with Connie Bond that blessed him with 2 boys.  He worked as a blacksmith for 15 years building and fixing things for the community.  His talents were well known in this part of the world with a plow and a welding bead.  Larry went to work for Eastland county precinct 3 and worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.  He believed in the Baptist Church and spent most of his free time fishing the Pecan Bayou, hunting and riding around on country roads.  Larry was a man of few words but if you were his friend he was always happy to talk for a bit.  Larry was the reflection of a country boy who loved his family and God by enjoying the rivers, fields and country around him with his family doing the things he loved.

Larry is survived by his wife, Connie Bond; mother, Louise Bond of Rising Star; sons, Ralph and wife Melissa Bond of Brownwood and Kevin and Seleste Bond of Sour Lake, Texas; brother, Ronny Bond; sisters, Linda Prescott and Darla Morris of Rising Star; grandchildren, Tamarra, Shaunda, Kevin Mack, Marcus, Jacob, Timothy, Jeremiah, Zachariah, and Kevin Lewis, and 10 great grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, L.D. Bond.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
