Sue Rush, 75 (Early)

Funeral services for Sue Rush, will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17th in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM on Monday, December 16th at the funeral home.

Vanda Sue Chambers Rush passed from this life on December 14, 2019 at 75 years of age in at her home in Early. Sue was born May 11, 1944 in San Saba County. She graduated from Early High School in the class of 1962. She married Leslie Rush on May 27, 1962 in Early.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Wanda Chambers.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leslie Rush, two children and their spouses, Michelle and Jim Macke and Steven and Regina Rush, four grandchildren- Morie Macke Smith and husband Steven Smith, Morgen Macke, Hayden and Jaxon Rush, and one great granddaughter Olivia Smith and one great grandson on the way. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bryan & Ira Chambers and numerous nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.

Sue sold Avon for many years and loved her customers dearly.  She was a member of the Brown County Posse-ettes and loved riding horses and spending time in the country.  She was a member of Blanket Church of Christ.  She also loved her second family at the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, where Les worked and retired from October 2019.
