Brownwood Police Blotter – Friday

Brownwood News – The following calls were responded to by the Brownwood Police Department.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at approximately 18:31 hours, Officer Weaver was dispatched to the 300 block of 4th St in reference to theft of a motor vehicle. Officer Weaver arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

On Thursday, 12/12/19 at 11:00 hours, while on duty at 2100 Slayden (Brownwood High School) in the resource office of the campus, Officer Bastardo observed a student walking out the front lobby area and throw a backpack on the ground.   An investigation was conducted which resulted in the arrest of a 19 year-old in the 1300 block of 11th for Assault Family Violence and Terroristic Threat of family.  Subject was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to the staff on duty.  According to jail records, bond was set at $1,500 on each charge and the subject was still in custody Friday morning.

On 12/12/2019, Brownwood officers took a walk-in in reference to criminal mischief. A report has been generated.

On Thursday, December 12, 2019, Officers responded to the 3200 block of Milam Drive in reference to a vehicle that had been broken into. After speaking to the owners of the vehicle, a report was generated.

On Thursday, December 12, 2019 at approximately 20:47 hours, Officer Weaver initiated a traffic stop near the 200 block of E Commerce St. An investigation was conducted during the stop which lead to the arrest of several subjects. A report has been generated.
