Neel and Huber in December Teacher Spotlight

Brownwood News – The Brownwood ISD December Spotlight honors two staff members.

Congratulations to the December 2019 Spotlight teacher, Ms. Deidra Neel. Ms. Neel is a Pre-K teacher at Woodland Heights Elementary. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University in 2001, and is certified in Early Childhood Education. This is Ms. Neel’s sixth year with Brownwood ISD.

Ms. Neel is known to be calm, patient, and professional. She looks for the best in kids and works with parents as partners in their child’s learning. She has a heart full of love for her students and she does a fantastic job providing them with a strong academic foundation while also nurturing the social/emotional development of each child. Ms. Neel is loved and respected by her colleagues.

Brownwood ISD is thankful to have passionate teachers like Ms. Neel who put their heart into all they do for our students in the classroom.

Ms. Barbara Huber is our December 2019 Spotlight staff member. Ms. Huber is the Lead District Tech in the Brownwood ISD Technology Department. She has been with Brownwood ISD for 25 years. Ms. Huber holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Western Governors University. She began at Brownwood ISD as a Teacher’s Aide in 1994, and joined the Technology Department in 2003.
Ms. Huber is well known throughout the district as a technology hero. Her expertise and knowledge provide solutions to technology issues on campuses, in offices and at the Central Support Center on a daily basis. She is kind and patient with everyone as she provides support for computers, printers, networking and many other pieces of technology within the district.

Brownwood ISD is blessed to have staff like Ms. Huber, who become the go-to professionals in their area while providing a high level of care, kindness, and understanding in each situation.
