Funeral services for Lomah Ray Pittman, age 80, of May, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 11, 2019 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Lomah Ray (Cobb) Pittman passed away Friday, November 8, 2019.  Lomah was born to L.T. “Cricket” and Ida (Ray) Cobb on December 2, 1938 in Zephyr, and her family moved to May, when she was four years old where she attended school. She married Wayne Pittman on June 3, 1955, at the tender age of 16. Shortly after marrying, they moved to Kermit, where she completed high school in 1959. After graduation, she worked in the tax assessor’s office of the Winkler County Courthouse. In 1963, the couple returned to Brownwood and she devoted herself to raising her family. In 1975, they moved back to her childhood family farm in May where she assisted her husband in ranching and farming. Together they raised three children and enjoyed more than 64 years of marriage. Lomah was involved in the community in many ways. She served as a member of the PTC and watched countless sporting events involving her children and grandchildren. In 2019, she was recognized for 50 years of service in the Owens Club of TEEA (Home Demonstration Club) where she served in a variety of local, county and state offices. Lomah was an active member of May First Baptist Church and served many years on the Bereavement Committee there.

Lomah was dearly loved by her family and is survived by her husband, Wayne; son Thayne Pittman and wife Linda and grandchildren Ethan and Baylie of Gladewater, TX; son Glenn Pittman and wife Jennifer and grandchildren Callie and Clay of Itasca, TX; daughter Karen Saucillo and husband Ramiro of Owens, and her children Rebecca and TJ Esparza of Kermit, and Joshua McFarland of Copperas Cove. Lomah is also survived by her sister Naomi Ragsdale and husband Joe of San Saba, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lomah is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Billy Jack Cobb and Claude Cobb, and a grandson, Justin Cody Pittman.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the May First Baptist Church, 18955 Cunningham St, May, Texas 76857.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
