Brownwood News – A Breckenridge man was killed in a two vehicle crash Thursday, October 24, at 3:14 pm, on Interstate 20 in Eastland County.

Christopher Lawren Whitehead, 45, of Breckenridge was killed in the wreck. He was the driver of a 2014 Ford Pickup. A passenger in the pickup, Brandon Darrell Roysdon, 29 of Albany, was taken to Eastland Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

According to the DPS report, Whitehead’s vehicle was traveling West on I-20, near mile post 362, when the vehicle hydroplaned on the wet roadway, crossed the median and struck a 2020 International truck and trailer that was going East. The truck was driven by Mario Antonio Bonilla, 39, of Dallas. He was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville with serious injury.

All three people involved in the accident were wearing seat belts. This is a preliminary report. The crash remains under investigation.
