Travis Earl Fenton, 100, passed from his earthly home and entered into his eternal rest with his Lord on October 20, 2019.

Services are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home and will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 at Early First Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.

Travis was born Saturday July 19, 1919, at Centralia, Missouri to Estelle and Mattie Fenton. He attended school in Brady, Texas and graduated from Llano High School.  He married Frankie Pitts on Friday, October 19, 1973 in Paducah, Texas and began a life together that blessed them with 3 children.  Travis entered into the US Army on March 26, 1941 where he became a staff Sgt with the Signal Corps.  Upon his separation in August 21, 1945, he received the EAME Campaign Medal with 7 Bronze Stars, American Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.  Our dad enjoyed wood working, collecting guns, his farm where he loved nature and all the wildlife that lived there.  He loved his family, grandchildren and made go-carts to ride on the farm.  He also loved his church and Sunday school at Early First Baptist Church.  Dad had several nephews that he had many good times with.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Sherrie Fenton.

Travis is survived by his loving wife, Frankie Fenton of Austin, TX; daughters, Denise Childress and husband Clay of Leander, TX and Carol Lee of Briarcliff, TX; grandson, Shae Hatfield and wife Chareese of Austin, TX, Stuart Campbell and wife Dina of Austin, TX and Brian Childress and wife Amanda of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandchildren Haden and Luke Hatfield, Cohen and Cooper Krysko, Kleo Rose Wilson and Heidi Taylor Childress; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In Lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
