Patricia Ann Mitchell, 68

Patricia Ann Mitchell “Pat”, 68, passed away on October 10, 2019, in Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 26 at 11 a.m.  at the Greater Faith Community Church located at 417 Wesley. Visitation will also be held at the church Friday from 6-8 pm.

Services are directed by Brownwood Funeral Home.

On February 13th 1951 Patricia Ann Mitchell was born to Marion Earl and Mildred Augusta Mitchell. Patricia was born in Dallas Texas and raised in Brownwood Texas. Marion and Mildred later divorce leaving Mildred to raise Patricia and her older sister Marian Mitchell by herself.  Patricia was raised in a God-fearing home and attended A.M.E every Sunday where she was a member. Patricia work for MHMR for many years in Brownwood Texas, and also was a licensed occupational and physical therapist. She later met a man named Charles Ray Mitchell Senior in 1965 and was together as man and wife until 1982. While together they shared five children; Earnesta Mitchell, Marisha Mitchell, Charles Ray Mitchell jr., Tyrone Mitchell, and April Mitchell.  They later divorced in 1982 and Patricia relocated to Los Angeles California to make a better life for her children. She later decides to move to Bakersfield California to be closer to her father.  Patricia enjoyed helping people and for many years she worked as a in home care provider.  Everyone who ever met Patricia loved her and she was known as Pat by her friends and family.  Some would even call her Triple P. For those who knew her knew exactly what she would say after asking her what that name meant! Everyone can vouch there was never a dull moment when she was around, and she was guaranteed to make you laugh. She would tell you that her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was known as “Granny” to her grands and great-grandchildren and held a very special place in each of their lives. Patricia shared a 22-year bond with her better half Edward Scott the two reside in San Antonio Texas. 

She is preceded in death by her mother and father Marion and Mildred Mitchell, one son Charles Ray Mitchell jr., 1 aunt Jewel Williams, 4 grandchildren Darius Walker, Tahj Walker, Shadow Walker,

Preston Mitchell, and both grandparents on each side. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters Earnesta Mitchell Fuller and husband Alonzo D. Fuller Sr. of Brownwood, TX;  Marisha Mitchell Walker and husband Anthony Walker Sr.,  Son Tyrone Mitchell Sr. and wife Katina Mitchell of Bakersfield CA. Her step daughter April Mitchell Joseph and husband Emmanuel Joseph, Edwina Scott and LaToya Scott. One sister Marian Mitchell Thomas 2 step sisters Patricia Wright and husband Kevin Wright, and Linda Dickerson. 2 brothers William Bracy and Michael L.  Jackson and Genvieve Jackson of Dallas TX. Nephew Michael L. Thomas and Amy Thomas of Brownwood Tx. Last but not least a very special grandson whom she raised as her own. He held a very special place in her heart Dominic Mitchell, and the love of her life Edward Scott. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many friends.
