Brownwood News – In session on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, the Brownwood City Council received a “Thank You” during Citizen Presentations.  The thank you came from Linda Heitman, Executive Director of Brown County Home Solutions, who was appreciative of the support she has received from the City of Brownwood.

In a letter to Ms. Heitman, Mayor Stephen Haynes wrote on behalf of the City of Brownwood in support of the organization and all of its programs.  Brown County Home Solutions is a faith-based non-profit program with the majority of their funding coming from churches and private donors.  They work to reduce homelessness by providing community assistance programs and hope to open an inclement weather shelter this winter.  BCHS also operates transitional housing through Legacy Village.
