Bettye Marie Ball, 77

Bettye Marie Ball, 77, passed from this life peacefully at her home on Friday, October 18, 2019.

A graveside service will be held at Rocky Creek Cemetery on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early, Texas.

Bettye was born Tuesday, February 24, 1942 to Arthur and Lucy Pelham in Mabank, Texas.  She graduated high school from Hale Center, Texas and went on to attend college at McLennon Community College, graduating with a degree in Nursing Home Administration.

She married the love of her life, Glen Ball on April 21, 1962, in Plainview, Texas where their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Cindy.  She was a member of Lake Brownwood First Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school.  Bettye was a Nursing Home Administrator for 16 years, then went on to teach at Brownwood High School before retiring.  She enjoyed working with students.  Bettye also enjoyed art, horseback riding, bicycles and gardening, with yellow roses being her favorite.

Bettye is survived by her husband Glen Ball of Lake Brownwood; her daughter, Cindy Cowin and husband Brian of Belton, Texas; two grandchildren, Breanne and Cody Cowin.
