Brownwood News – The Brownwood Police Department responded to the following calls for service on Wednesday and Thursday.

On October 17, 2019 at approximately 10:44, Officer Mares was dispatched to 401 W. Commerce St. (Wal Mart) in reference to fraud. Dispatch stated that a male subject had passed a counterfeit bill at the location. A suspect was named and a report was generated.

On Thursday, October 17, 2019 at approximately 05:11 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer (Rodriguez) was dispatched to the 2500 block of Crockett Drive in reference to an assault. A report has been generated.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Officers responded to the 3200 block of Stephen F. Austin in reference to a vehicle that had been burglarized during the night. After speaking to the owner of the vehicle, a report was generated.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at approximately 09:25 hours, Officer Weaver was dispatched to the 2600 block of N. Main Blvd in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officer Weaver arrived on scene and spoke with the involved parties. A report has been made.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Officer Thompson responded to the 100 block of Quail Run in reference to a vehicle that had been broken into overnight. After speaking to the owner of the vehicle, a report was generated.
