Brownwood News – The West Texas Drone Workshop will be held in Abilene on November 16-17.
The workshop is a cooperative effort of professional commercial drone pilots in the DFW and Midland/Odessa area and is being done without profit.

Speakers and organizers are volunteering their time and resources to help the commercial drone pilot community by sharing best industry practices as well as offering a limited engagement hands-on training session.

Organizer Matthew Hinman of Midland, Texas, said, “We were able to get seasoned professional pilots to come speak and teach on the topics of 3-D mapping and volumetrics, real estate photography, aerial cinematography, and thermography. We also were able to get a 27-year FAA veteran to answer questions about airspace authorizations.”  According to Hinman’s news release, remaining seats are limited.

Hinman went on to say that this event is likely the only one of its kind in the state, and will feature long networking breaks between sessions so pilots can exchange ideas. The workshop is open to pilots of all skill levels, including those just starting or inquiring about a commercial drone business, and those who are long-time seasoned professionals.

Those interested in this unique workshop can get more information or Pre-register at www.TXdrone.club. Advance registration is required before November 5.
