Brownwood Police and Sheriff’s Department Blotters

Brownwood News –

The following calls were included on the Brownwood Police Department Offense and Incident Report released Monday, October 14.

On Sunday October 13, 2019 at approximately 22:30 hours, officers were dispatched to a citizen’s dispute at the 600 block of Ave G. One of the parties was subsequently placed into custody. The subject was transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.

On Sunday, October 13, 2019 at approximately 1945 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of W. Commerce Street in reference to a welfare check report.  A man was arrested for Public Intoxication.

On Sunday October 13, 2019 at approximately 00:01 hours an officer arrived at 717 West Commerce. 911-operators dispatched the Officer to a club in reference to a fight in progress. After an investigation two subjects were arrested and charged with assault.

On 10-12-19 at 14:03 hrs. an Officer was dispatched to a business in the 500 Block of West Commerce for a dog bite.

On October 12, 2019 an Officer spoke to a female at the Brownwood PD in reference to a theft. The female reported that her dog had been stolen and wished to file a report. A report was generated.

On Saturday, October 12, 2019 at approximately 11:37 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Cordell St in reference to criminal mischief.  The Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the involved parties. An arrest was made and a report has been generated.

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Officers responded to the 1600 block of Hawkins in reference to a theft of a bicycle. After speaking to the owner of the bike, a report was generated.

On Friday, October 12, 2019, Brownwood Police were dispatched to a north Brownwood residence in the 500 block of Victoria for an assault report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

On Friday, October 11, 2019 at approximately 19:35 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Ave D in reference to a criminal trespass. The original trespass warning was produced and shown to officers. The subject was placed in custody and transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.

On 10/102019 at approximately 17:00 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to 1050 W. Commerce for a call of violation of a protective order. Brownwood Police made a report for violation of a protective order.

BROWN COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT REPORT

The following calls for service were answered recently Deputies of the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

On Wednesday, October 9, it was discovered someone had illegally dumped a freezer and pile of brush on County Road 267.  Photographs were taken and a report was generated.  There are no suspects to list.

On October 10, at about 09:10 hours, Deputy Langley arrived at a north Brownwood Business on Belle Plain Street.  This was in regards to fraud.  The Deputy spoke to the manager who stated credit card skimmers were located on two gas pumps.

On October 10, at about 11:01 hours, Deputy Langley arrived at the Brown County Jail in regards to criminal mischief.  Deputy Langley spoke to a witness who said an inmate had broken a phone in one of the holding cells.

On Thursday, October 10, at approximately 12:08 pm, Deputy Burke was dispatched to FM 351 in Blanket in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation report and investigation.

On Thursday, October 10, at approximately 13:38, Deputy Burke met with a complainant on County Road 594 in Brownwood in reference to a civil matter, illegal dumping and criminal mischief report and investigation.
