Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Arrests Made for Auto Theft, Intoxication, Drug Possession

Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls recently.

An S.O. officer spoke with a complainant in reference to a stolen vehicle report and investigation.  The location was County Road 569.  The offense is unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  A suspect was listed.

On September 20, a Sergeant performed a traffic stop on a blue Mini Cooper on Highway 183 in May, Texas.  After a probable cause search, both occupants, a man and woman, were arrested for possession of 4.4 grams of marijuana.

On September 20, at approximately 20:20 hours, a Corporal initiated a report for sexual assault that happened in Brown County on U.S. 183.  The incident is still being investigated.

On September 21, 2019, at approximately 00:03, a Deputy recovered a stolen vehicle located on County Road 569 in Brownwood.  The male subject, who had been driving the stolen vehicle, was ultimately arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, state jail felony.  A report was made.

On September 21, 2019, at about 14:37 hours, a Deputy arrived on County Road 611 in Brownwood in regard to a theft.  The Deputy spoke to a man who stated someone had taken the front license plate off his vehicle.

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, a Deputy did a follow up phone to a man who state that on Friday, September 20, between 11:00 hours and 12:00 hours, a named male suspect had stolen the gate and posts at the back of the property on Boyett Drive in Brownwood.  A report was made.

A Deputy met with a complainant on Ardee Drive in reference to a criminal mischief report and investigation.

On Saturday, September 21, at about 18:17 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle near FM 1467 and CR 323.  The Deputy found a man passed out behind the wheel of a Ford pickup parked in a thicket.  Upon making contact with the man, it was determined that he was intoxicated to the point where he was a danger to himself and others.  He was taken to Brown County Jail.

A Deputy was dispatched to County Road 487 in May in reference to a trespassing report and investigation.
