Wendell Metts, 70 (Washington)

Wendell Metts, 70, of Bellingham, Washington, died April 19, 2019 in Bellingham.

A graveside memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Brown Ranch Cemetery Pavilion in Fisk, Coleman County.  Inurnment will be in the Brown Ranch Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

Wendell Bailey Metts was born May 2, 1948 in Coleman to Homer Hoyt Metts and Gladys Muriel Haney Metts.  He grew up in Coleman and Pleasant Hill, Missouri where he graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. He worked with his parents at Metts Garden Center in Coleman.  He later moved to Bellingham, Washington and was a fire and police safety equipment manufacturer.

Survivors include two sisters, Carol Cole of Monroe, Washington, Patty Hackett of Lone Jack, Missouri; four nephews, Howard Bearce, Chris Bearce, Michael Hackett, Matthew Hackett; three nieces, Angela Roach, Jennifer Turner and Kyanna Moody.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Muriel Metts and one sister, Bonnie Gail Metts Bearce.
