Brownwood News – Brown County Commissioners met briefly Friday morning to vote on the proposed 2019-2020 budget.

County Commissioner Joel Kelton presided over the meeting.  Commissioner’s voted 4-0 to approve the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 county budget.  The 37 page document is available to review in the County Clerk’s Office or on the County website.

Commissioner’s then held a second Public Hearing on the 2019-2020 proposed tax rate.  No citizen spoke about the tax rate.

Commissioner’s then voted 4-0 to set Tuesday, September 24, at 9:00 am, as the date and time to adopt the proposed tax rate.
