Brownwood News – The City of Brownwood has launched a newly redesigned website that makes staying informed and engaged simple. The mobile-friendly website with its quick-link buttons and easy to access information is live and available now. You can view the updated site at the same location, www.brownwoodtexas.gov.

Public Information Officer Marshal McIntosh noted, “Our newly redesigned website serves as our digital front door for the City of Brownwood. We desired the redesign to be welcoming while prioritizing functionality. The new website seeks to improve the experience of residents needing quick access to city services. It is the goal of the City to be able to easily connect residents with the information they are seeking.”

The primary navigation buttons and tabs were organized based on analytics which were identified by the most frequently used searches. The update arranges the departments and pages in a more efficient and organized manner. The new site also improves the responsiveness to mobile devices. A mobile-optimized design ensures citizens can easily navigate and interact with content from any desktop computer, smartphone, or tablet, anytime and anywhere.

As we continue to improve on convenience, please take note of our online form center which serves as a single, conveniently accessible repository for all forms, documents, and files citizens routinely require so they can self-service many of their municipal requests without the need to walk into an office or place a phone call.

The website also features built in accessibility automation functionality which helps to ensure that as digital content is updated, the website continues to maintain Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.0 A and AA standards recommended by the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) to ensure equitable access of municipal content for all citizens.
