BISD September Spotlight – Teacher and Staff Member

Brownwood News – Congratulations to our September 2019 Spotlight teacher, Ms. Martha Woods. Ms. Woods is a Pre-K Teacher at Northwest Elementary School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Howard Payne University in 1984. She is a certified teacher (PK-12) in the areas of Speech and Hearing Therapy, Early Childhood Education, and Language. Ms. Woods has been teaching at Northwest Elementary for 26 years and has been with Brownwood ISD a total of 34 years.


Martha Woods

Ms. Woods is known for her dedication to her students, staying late and coming in early on a daily basis and providing support for anyone who may need it. Her passion for teaching and love for children contributes to her success.   Brownwood ISD is grateful to have caring and devoted teachers like Ms. Woods who go above and beyond for our students.


Rosa Villarreal

Ms. Rosa Villarreal is our September 2019 Spotlight staff member. Ms. Villarreal is the head custodian at Coggin Intermediate School (CIS). She is beginning her 7th year at CIS and Brownwood ISD.
Ms. Villarreal is detail-oriented and leads her staff to make sure every custodial need at the Coggin Intermediate campus is taken care of quickly and completely. She goes above and beyond to provide help and support on campus whenever there is a need and ensures that jobs are done exceptionally well.
Brownwood ISD is thankful to have staff like Ms. Villarreal who give their time and energy to take care of our campuses and help to ensure our staff and students have a clean and healthy learning environment.
