Brown County will hold a public hearing on September 16, 2019 at 9 am in the Brown County Commissioner’s Courtroom, Brownwood, TX, on the proposed budget of Brown County for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. The proposed budget is available for review in the Brown County Clerk’s office, Brown County Courthouse, Brownwood, Texas, and on the county’s website at www.browncountytx.org.

The proposed budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $667,403, which is a 4.44 percent increase from last year’s budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new Property added to the tax roll this year is $263,158.09.
