Jerald “Jerry” David Sheller, 78 (Brownwood)

Jerald “Jerry” David Sheller, 78, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019.

The visitation will be held Thursday, August 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at Heartland Funeral Home Friday, August 30 at 10:30 AM.

Jerald “Jerry” was born November 13, 1940 in Santa Anna to Floyd and Dorothy Sheller.  He attended school in Santa Anna and joined the Army at 17 years old.  He proudly served his country with 20 years in the Army as a military police officer, private courier and soldier in Vietnam.  After his military retirement he worked as a truck driver, oilfield worker and car salesman.  He was a worldly traveled man and loved telling stories about his past.  Jerry was an avid gardener, he loved to collect antiques, garage sales for a bargain and treasure hunt for arrow heads, coins & old collectables.  His favorite time was to go out and metal detect.  He was a member of Central Texas Treasure club for several years.  He loved gold mining in California & Costa Rica.  In his younger years he flew his own airplane.  Jerry mostly loved his family and friends.  He often spoke of times shopping with his mom in Mexico and old times with his brothers and sisters.  After his marriage to Rosanna, Jerry loved to take Rosanna traveling, going to cook-offs and casinos.  He was a member of High Mesa Cowboy Church and loved the Lord dearly.

Jerry is survived by his beloved Rosanna Sheller of Early; son, Steven J. Sheller and wife Ruth of Joplin, MO; daughters, Tina Marie Muscott and husband Carl of Hartshorne, OK, Melissa and husband Robert Harris of Orange, TX; stepdaughters, Brenda Miller of Brownwood, Melody and husband Geoff Mittelsteadt of San Antonio, Crystal and husband David Baugh of Brownwood; sisters, Wanda and husband Kenneth McGlaun of Athens, Linda and husband Leonard Owens of Mabank, Judy and husband Jimmy Myers; brothers, Floyd and wife Debbie Sheller of Buchanan Dam, Lloyd Sheller of Murchison; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
