Busy Weekend for Brown County Sheriff’s Department

Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls for service in recent days.

On August 23, 2019, a Deputy met with a woman who needed a Criminal Trespass Warning issued against a man. The Deputy later located the man, explained the Trespass Warning to him and gained a signature from him and completed a report.

On August 24, 2019, at approximately 01:47 am, a Deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in regards to an assault which occurred in the Brown County Jail. A report was made.

On Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 03:15 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to FM 586 (Concord Church) in regards to a burglary. Upon arrival the Deputy spoke to a man who said when he arrived to clean the church he noticed a door to the church had been pried open. A report was taken.

On August 24, 2019, a Deputy responded to CR 381 in Early, Texas. This was for a report of a lamb being killed by three dogs. The Deputy met with the caller and gathered information. A suspect owner was located. A report was made.

On August 24, 2019, a Deputy was dispatched to an address on West Main Blvd. This was in regards to stolen property. A man stated someone had stolen carpet from his property. A report was taken.

On August 25, 2019, a Deputy was notified of a domestic disturbance just outside of Bangs on U.S. Highway 67. A woman stated that her son had shoved her down. The son was placed in custody for assault and taken to Brown County Jail. A report was taken.

On August 25, 2019, at approximately 2:15 pm, a Deputy was advised by dispatch to contact a woman by phone regarding Fraud. The Deputy made contact with the woman and discovered she isn’t missing any funds. A report was completed for information report on fraud.

On August 25, 2019, Deputies were dispatched to an address on County Road 112. This was in regards to a domestic disturbance where a man and woman got into an argument which ended up in a physical altercation with injuries on both sides. Both subjects were separated and a report has been taken.

On August 25, 2019, a Deputy was dispatched to North U.S. Highway 183 in reference to a suspicious person. The caller advised a man was at the property and not welcomed there. The Deputy made contact with the man. After further investigation the man was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. A report was made.
