Brownwood Police Blotter – Several Arrests Made

Brownwood News – The following calls for service were included on the Brownwood Police Department Offense and Incident Report, made available to the media on Monday morning, August 26.

On Friday, August 23, 2019, at approximately 2219 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood address in the 1500 block of Vincent in reference to a Domestic Disturbance. Upon arrival, the Officer observed both parties were outside. Both parties were separated so the Officer could speak with them separately. During this investigation, the Officer was informed that an Assault Offensive Touch occurred. Both parties were separated and a report was generated and completed.

On August 24th, 2019 at approximately 1300 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department received a walk in at the LEC in reference to an Invasive Visual Recording. A report was generated for this incident.

On 8/24/2019 at 1400 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 3500 Blk. of Rhodes Rd. in reference to criminal mischief. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

On 8/24/2019 at approximately 2300 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Second Street for a call of disorderly conduct. Police made and arrest for public intoxication.

On 8/25/2019 at 1100 hours, Officers were dispatched to US 183 in Brown County for a suspicious call. Upon further investigation, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Blk. of E. Commerce. One subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

On Sunday August 25th, 2019 at approximately 1300 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Avenue H, in reference to an Assault. After an initial investigation one arrest was for Assault Family Violence Impeding Breath or Circulation.

On Sunday August 25th, 2019 at approximately 1528 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Durham in reference to Cruelty to an Animal. A report was generated for this incident.

On 8/25/2019 at approximately 1700 hours, Brownwood police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Main Street for a call of a reckless driver. Police stopped a vehicle and an arrest was made for DWI.

On Sunday, August 25, 2019, at approximately 1927 Hrs, and Officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood address in the 1700 block of Magnolia in reference to Criminal Mischief. The Officer met with the complainant who advised that, while at a friend’s house, his vehicle was damaged. The Officer observed numerous scratches to the complainant’s vehicle. The complainant advised he wanted to file a report. A report was generated and completed.

On Monday, August 26, 2019, at approximately 0425 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood residence in the 2900 block of Southside Drive in reference to an Assault. The Officer spoke to the complainant and was informed that another female had entered the residence and assaulted the complainant. At first contact, the complainant stated she wanted to file charges so the female would go to jail. A report was generated and completed.
