Early City Council Expected to Adopt Budget, Set Tax Rate Tuesday

Brownwood News – The City Council of the City of Early, Texas will meet at 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 27, at Early City Hall.  A public hearing is scheduled on the budget prior to the budget and tax rate being addressed for approval.

A. Call to order, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance
B. Consideration of the minutes of meeting held on August 13, 2019 and Public Hearing meetings held on August 16 and 19, 2019.
C. Citizen’s comments.
D. Special Recognition:
1. Denise Hudson – TAVCB Certification
2. Officer Mike Cross – Havens Unit

2. Consider a Resolution, 2019-CVR03, approving Convention and Visitors Bureau 2019-2020 fiscal year budget. By: Tony Aaron
3. Consider Ordinance 2019-12, approving a negotiated settlement between Atmos Cities Steering Committee (ACSC) and Atmos Energy Corp., Mid-Tex Division regarding the 2018 Rate Review Mechanism filings. By: Tony Aaron
4. Consideration to approve a variance allowing a fireworks display at City Park during Early Showcase. By: Larry McConn
