Police Arrest Man who Dropped a Bag of Narcotics on the Ground

Brownwood News – The following calls for service were included on the Wednesday, August 21, Offense and Incident Report from the Brownwood Police Department.

On August 18, 2019 at 0742 hours, a Brownwood PD Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Brewster Street in reference to the burglary of an unsecured vehicle. A report was taken. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

On August 19, 2019, a report was generated in reference to theft of property in the 2800 block of Avenue D.

On August 19, 2019, a report was generated for theft of service in the 2800 block of Virgil Gray Drive.

On 8/20/2019, at approximately 0200 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Waco for a domestic disturbance. Police made a report for domestic violence.

On Tuesday August 20th, 2019 at approximately 1000 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 900 block of Main Street in reference to a Wanted Person. Upon arrival, a man was arrested on Parole Violation.

On August 20th, 2019 at approximately 1345 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 700 block of W Commerce in reference to a Forgery of a Financial Instrument.

On Tuesday, August 20, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood residence for a theft report in the 1100 block of Durham Ave. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

On Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at approximately 2231 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a North Brownwood business in the 400 block of West Commerce in reference to a possible intoxicated subject passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle with it running. The Officer located the subject still passed out and the vehicle off. The Officer made contact with the subject and asked him to exit the vehicle. The male exited the vehicle and dropped a bag of narcotics on the ground. The male subject was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance. A report was generated and completed.
